Printing In 3D |
|
Printing things in three dimensions is pretty much like magic to me. I get how it works and can see how it came about. The concepts are not really new after all. And yet, the current realization is pretty amazing really. For someone my age, the control and precision for such a low cost is anyway. |

Anyway, my recently adquired Power Macintosh G3 Minitower now has a BlueSCSI v2 in it. The BlueSCSI is another recent inovation that is great. If you need a SCSI drive replacement solution for a Mac or another SCSI based machine, check it out at bluescsi.com. Although there are lots of ways to update the SD card on a BlueSCSI, one of the most convenient ways is to directly write a HD image file to the SD card. This requires pulling the SD card temporarily. Often, I place the BlueSCSI into the target machine rather than use an external SCSI interface. As you can imagine, opening the case is not as convenient. There is a solution to accessibility. Action Retro (like and subscribe at youtube.com/@ActionRetro) took one for team BlueSCSI. They spent a spool of PLA designing a front bezel and frame to provide access the the SD card whilst it is mounted in the bay. This novice 3D printer user is forever in their debt.
